STRATEGIC PLANNING & INNOVATION WORKSHOP (2 DAYS)
OVERVIEW
In today’s world, business is characterised by change, which presents numerous challenges to anyone attempting to lead and manage it. Thinking ahead with foresight and flexibility will be the point of differentiation and set one apart. This workshop attempts to provide practical skills to the participants in a safe, experiential environment which will have a direct impact on your business.
OBJECTIVES
The 2-day programme will provide a framework for thinking about your business. Tools and concepts will facilitate thinking strategically and innovatively. Using a structured process you will be able to apply these techniques in your strategic planning activities.
Participants will be able to reflect on current business plans and strategies through a structured framework, the environment provided will facilitate the application back in the organisation.

At the end of the course participants will experience:
- What strategic planning means and how it differs from the kind of “maintenance” planning that is typical of most organizations.
- How to implement an effective process to discover what it is that you don’t realize you need to know before you can create an effective strategic plan.
- How to ask the right questions to help you avoid “killer assumptions.”
- Ways to use proven strategies for incorporating your whole team in the strategic planning process.
- The meaning of S.M.A.R.T. goals and how to incorporate them into your strategic planning process.
- Best practice procedures to communicate strategic planning goals to the members of your team to increase buy in and maximize team performance in pursuit of these goals.
- How to develop a meaningful evaluation process to measure the progress the team is making in implementing the plan so that needed adjustments can be made that will assure the plan succeeds.
Ultimately, being instrumental in achieving higher revenues and net profits.
METHODOLOGY:DOME

The use of the D.O.M.E. methodology will challenge participants to take control of situations so that they become proactive to change rather than just react. Knowledge of one’s own and colleagues’ behaviour patterns will ensure that participants can put their learning into immediate effect. An action plan will be developed to facilitate bringing the learning back to the organisation.
