International HR and Organization Development Consultant

Eliza Quek is a highly experienced international organizational development consultant, facilitating the alignment of leadership and managerial performances to better meet their organizations’ strategic priorities, values, vision and goals through customized training programmes and executive coaching.

Her foundation years as Internal Consultant with Esso Singapore, Exxon Chemicals Asia Pacific and Esso Eastern Inc., Houston built competencies in organizational diagnosis, action learning, instructional design, conflict resolution and team building.

She ran the Human Resource Development function at Singapore Press Holdings, conceptualized and implemented a competency based appraisal, career development, talent management and succession planning system.

Her career in external consultancy brought opportunities for her to add value to clients’ strategic management, leadership, cross cultural management and project management competencies. She has facilitated the evolution of functional, customer centered delivery systems and cultures; creative problem solving and effective decision making and enhanced client’s systems thinking skills and their ability to manage complexity and paradoxes.

She has built coaching and mentoring skills among Preceptors who are members of the Singapore Pharmacy Board and Keppel Land senior managers; cross cultural management and negotiation skills among senior management at Thermo Electron, Tesco and Eka Chemicals; Akzo Nobel; Discovery Planning skills among Nokia senior management; re-branding, identity and image management in the Al Rostamani Group, Dubai and leadership, change and performance management in Ethiopian Airlines.

She combines her consultancy career with part time academic teaching of Business Strategy, Ethics, Management Futures, Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development, Marketing Communications, Creativity, Innovation and Change and on-line MBA supervision at the University of Surrey, Portsmouth and Singapore Management University business schools and the Open University.

Eliza holds a M.A. in Manpower Studies, Birkbeck College, University of London and a B.A. in Sociology and Philosophy, University of Singapore. She is Member of ILT (The Institute for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education); trained by the Open University as on-line, E Facilitator; a licensed Instructor of Forum Corporation’s Leadership and Influence programmes and trained in Forum’s Project Leadership skills and certified Cultural Transformation Tools Consultant.

David Macdonald

David has over 20 years of experience in business development and leading teams. He held several senior sales management and marketing positions with major blue-chip organizations in the UK, including the Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Barclays Group.

Seven years ago, David co-founded a major consulting firm. Since the company's launch, he has worked on over 50 major training and consulting assignments. These include helping clients and their teams develop sales excellence, instilling innovation into corporate cultures, developing high performance teams and facilitating strategic planning workshops. Amongst other on-going responsibilities, he is currently coaching and mentoring a team of senior managers for a global change management initiative following the methodology and principles of "Blue Ocean Strategy".

David's practitioner's background and experience in developing business through people, while harnessing effective communication, sales and management processes, gives him a broad and relevant understanding of the organizational and people issues influencing business development throughout the region.

Recent clients that David has worked with include Credit Suisse, BASF, Timberland, American Airlines, Petronas, BNP Paribas, Accenture, UBS, Axa, Allianz, Ayudhya, Allianz Life, Bank Negara Indonesia, Cathay Life, Generali, HSBC Insurance, Maybank, OCBC and Prudential. He is regularly invited to speak at regional conferences on sales, sales management and human capital development issues.

Having "come up through the ranks" in his professional career, David is at ease dealing with people from all levels of an organization and, with the experience gained in Asia over the past few years, he is completely comfortable dealing with multi-cultural issues and people from diverse backgrounds and with varying degrees of experience.

Hua Pak Cheong

Mr. Hua is one of the Singapore most sought after trainer and consultant and has been training successfully for the past 20 years. Before specializing in training consultancy, Mr. Hua spent more than 18 years in the corporate world after leaving the civil service. Of these 18 years, 3 years were with an American electronics (LED/LCD display) manufacturing plant as a production supervisor, and later as final testing line supervisor; and 15 in the banking industry in various positions (including human resource development) in both local and foreign banks.

His experience covered corporate treasury marketing (in the Singapore branch of an American investment bank), and training and development in United Overseas Bank (UOB). He was seconded from UOB to head Singapore's Institute of Banking & Finance as its Director in the early 1980s. He then became Standard Chartered Bank’s South East Asia regional head in charge of training and development, management succession, career planning and development. His geographical responsibilities in Standard Chartered covered Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Philippines, Vietnam and Australia.

Caroline Dawson

Caroline Josephine Dawson holds a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communications from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She has more than 8 years of invaluable experience in teaching business, environmental and technical communication and 10 years in the field of journalism and publishing.

Caroline has trained operational, supervisory and managerial staff from various organizations. Her track record includes:

As an Editor of 4 publications, i.e. Executive Inc, The Hemispheres, The Hemispheres Kid and Koolkidz Magazine, Caroline is presented with opportunities to conduct all facets of written communication to not only the corporate sector but students and aspiring writers as well. Caroline has also written several articles which have all been published in established local magazines. Her dissertation “Effective Ways of Promoting Environmental Consciousness among School Children in Singapore” is kept in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and various nature organisations in Singapore as resource and reference material on environmental and persuasive communication.

In addition, her professional work experience as a Corporate Trainer has required her to market the value of her programs and persuade clients to value and understand the urgency of good communication skills in the work force. She has also worked with the Workforce Development Agency of Singapore to develop training content for the Employability Skills System where she successfully attained industry approved competencies in conducting, planning and designing competency based assessments for workshops.

Caroline has also conceptualized, produced and delivered courses such as written and oral presentation skills, communication relationship management, business communication, customer service, teambuilding and administered psychometric profiles (MBTI), among others. Her experience in working with public sector training has become one of her training strengths. Tom Richardson (B. Bus (Marketing), FAIM, FAMI)

Tom Richardson is principal coach & trainer he specialises in the disciplines of Key Account Management, Sales Force Management, Strategic Sales, & Marketing.
Tom has over 18 years experience in sales and marketing management positions at multinational companies – Shell & Kodak. Tom is a guest lecturer at several Business Schools and Universities in Australia including Mt Eliza, AIM and Swinburne University.  He established his own consulting and training business in 1994 and is based in Melbourne, Australia, but operates internationally.
He holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Monash University in Melbourne.  He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (FAIM), a member of the Australian Marketing Institute (AMAMI). 
Tom has presented at workshops, conferences and events for a diverse range of clients both in Australia and internationally including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and Singapore.

Vimala Chandrarajan

Vimala is a management and communications trainer with 12 years of management experience with some of the leading global and regional multinational companies.
She commenced her career working with some of the best reputed law firms in Singapore and overseas and was assigned to some of the world’s leading corporate entities on multi-million dollar projects and arbitrations.
Vimala also worked with the world’s largest publishing company, LexisNexis, owned by the Anglo-Dutch publishing giant Reed Elsevier as head of the Journal Publishing Department and was the managing editor of the SLG. She also headed marketing and sales of the SLG and doubled the sales of the SLG within a year of taking over.
Vimala then moved on to join a multinational IT company as project manager. Vimala managed various projects including developing a business information portal for the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (‘ACRA’) of Singapore and the launch of LawNet, Singapore’s best selling legal and business information website. Here Vimala worked closely with key stakeholders of local and foreign governments, GLC’s, MNCs and SMEs.
During her time with these organisations, Vimala gained wide regional exposure in business development and is credited for having established business presences in India, Malaysia, UAE and Hong Kong. With her broad-based experience, Vimala is regularly engaged in customised training workshops programmes such as Leadership, Teambuilding, Negotiation, Persuasive Communication, Presentation, Change Communications and CRM. Vimala also conducts seminars on niche areas such as Risk Management and Anti-Money Laundering. Michael Lee

Michael Lee is a training consultant who helps organizations improve productivity through training and development of its human resources. He is a dedicated trainer who inspires participants to develop and reach their full potential.

He has successfully conducted a wide variety of programmes including customer service, team-building, creativity and innovation, instructional and speaking skills, selling and marketing skills and even music and guitar lessons.

Michael's previous work experience includes being training manager for two banks and two multi-national electronics companies. Collectively, he has about 12 years of experience in varied fields of engineering, electronics, manufacturing, banking and human resource development.

He has developed the reputation of being an effective motivational trainer, a stimulating and entertaining speaker, as well as a presenter with great “take-home” value. He has the ability to make his classes lively, interesting, practical and inspirational. Audience finds him thought-provoking, inspirational, witty and fun; business clients describe him as having a passion for win-win thinking and friends testify to his ability to pluck humour and a life lesson out of any situation.

In his leisure hours, Michael plays and teaches the flamenco guitar, takes up magic as a hobby and also draws and paints.
